The problem still exists in 3.7b and my putative fix still seems to be good. It would be nice to kill this one. I've even tried to attach the fix properly.

[ENH][VM][TEST] Adler32 crc primitive

Looks like we need this ... at this point we're spending nearly half of the overall time for ZLibStream's compression/decompression in crc computations. The attached primitive should fix the problem and the tests should make sure it actually works :-)

Bring up the red halo menu, pin it Delete the morph select debug from the menu select either 'control-menu..' or 'internal name' You'll get a walkback either in Morph>>invokeMetaMenu or Morph>>choosePartName. Once the morph is deleted 'self world' returns nil. These two changes catch that."

Yes - sort of...... 1) <Cmd> click (or <Alt> click if not on MacOS) on the morph to bring up the halos. 2) Click on the 'grey wrench' debug halo. 3) Click on 'explore' in the pop-up menu. You can also get at this from the 'red' menu halo. In 3.7-5607 - FileDirectory>assureExistence uses #assureExistenceOfPath: ServerDirectory>assureExistence uses #assurePathExists: The two methods are very nearly identical in fact and appear identical in intent. Just saw the Self video. Notice the "Core Sampler" for their Morphic. Does Squeak have a similar tool to Self's "Core Sampler"?
