[Q] Are there any example/link on Input Method Extension for Squeak?

Hi, I want to create input method extension for Squeak(squeak native one, not OS thing). I thought there once was a code/changeset for Korean/ Japanese but I lost the link T_T. Can anyone provide me any example/document/link for this? Thanks in advance. PS) What I want to create is for Korean input.

About classVariables

Hi to my stupefaction I discovered that the classVariables of a class are not the same as the ones of its metaclass. TheRoot classVarNames ~= TheRoot class classVarNames Does any body have some ideas why this is like that? For me this is a conceptual bug. Stef

Morphic buttons

I see lots of classes for creating buttons and I'm not sure which one corresponds most closely to a Java Swing JButton. Button has onAction: to tell it what to do with the button is pressed, but seems to have no way to tell it what text to put on the button. Basic button has label: to tell it the text to appear on the button, but seems to have no way to tell it what to do when it is pressed. PluggableButtonMorph allows specifying both (on: and label:), but is maybe more complicated than what I need. -- R. Mark Volkmann Object Computing, Inc.

Storing non code files in Monticello

I would like store some ordinary text files that are used as test inputs to some code. How can I save a Monticello package with the test text files together with the code? Can I do that without making the text files as code in Squeak? I'm trying to learn basic Morphic. Can someone tell me why the following code results in buttons labelled 1 through 4 from right to left instead of left to right? Smalltalk Superpowers Workshop Addendum

Two things Martin and I want to point out regarding the upcoming Smalltalk Superpowers Workshop at OOPSLA 2008 this year. 1) Some have expressed concern that this is held the same day as the Lisp 50th Birthday Party. With this workshop, we intend to do one of the things that Smalltalk does best. We intend to be dynamic, we intend to be late bound. Past the method preamble of the workshop, we will dynamically compile the agenda for the workshop, and if there's consensus about taking time to run over and see one of the more notable portions of the Celebration of the Life of Lisp, that's certainly possible. So please don't let that deter a desire to participate. 2) We've received some emails from people who are unable to attend OOPSLA, but feel they have an example or two to contribute to the subject of Smalltalk Superpowers and their Uses for Good or Evil.
