COG-VM Float endianness problems

Hi, I'm using windows COG VM + image provided by Andreas. I note a few problems related to the change of endianness of Float. One of it is Float negativeZero sign = 1, instead of -1. Float>>sign "Answer 1 if the receiver is greater than 0, -1 if less than 0, else 0. Handle IEEE-754 negative-zero by reporting a sign of -1" self > 0 ifTrue: [^ 1]. (self < 0 or: [((self at: 1) bitShift: -31) = 1]) ifTrue: [^ -1]. ^ 0 Does the image miss a few changes ? Nicolas

COG incorrect behavior of primitive comparing NaN

(Float nan < 0.0001) -> true, should be false. It is possibly related to http://bugs.squeak.org/view.php?id=7260 (I didn't check vm sources yet) Nicolas

Thanks by the response Bill. I investigated a bit more and found Tamper, a firefox extension to view and modify HTTP/HTTPS headers and post parameters. Then I discovered that this form that I need to deal with, use multipart/form-data and I must deal also with boundaries (http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc1341/7_2_Multipart.html). I'm reading a bit more to fully understand this stuff and may be the WebClient is usable as is or I can modify it to this sort of use. I will comment when have more news. Thanks again by the help. Morphic-cmm.441 won't go away

My apologies, I seem to have disrupted the update stream with an old package that won't go away, and I'm embarassed to admit, I'm not sure what to do. I've completely removed Morphic-cmm.441 from source.squeak.org, but it keeps getting merged in when I update my old image. Simply revert the package, but does anyone know how this can be fixed?

I think that the empty intersection of two rectangles should return the sole instance of class EmtpyRectangle with semantics of EmptyRectangle defined appropriately. I think then all the problems go away unless there is code that depends upon the current behavior. Regards, Ralph Boland
