Create new service??

There's been a little discussion about browser menus and I proffered the ability to omit selected items. I was thinking that there were some I never used, so why have them taking up space? In that vein, I notice "Create new service" at the top of the message list menu. I have never used this, do not know what it does and wonder why it is the #1 item in the list. Is this a commonly used item for some folks? Just curious.

Maximum tree search depth

I do have to be extra careful with anything over 1 when exploring a high-level Magma object with proxies out into a huge repository because, with no way to abort, an accidental key press can become a frustrating image-lock. Getting Filter working better would also make it feel better. Depth of 0 should just filter the selected items siblings, (and, if that causes a mismatch on the selected item, changing the selection), but without affecting their expanded/unexpanded status of anything. Squeak on High Sierra

Hi, Craig asked and I tried to respond about Squeak on High Sierra. The email was rejected, so, 2nd try. I don't build but do happily run Squeak on High Sierra. It runs fine on both HFS+ and APFS disks without any difficulties. I do use recent VMs and the two I've used recently are cog_macos64x64_squeak.cog.spur_201706080104.tar.gz and cog_macos64x64_squeak.cog.spur_201710261813.tar. cheers bruce
