Hello all,
In putting together materials for the Squeak CD-ROM (which I intend to post to the list for comment real soon), I've noticed that there seems to be a good collection of Squeak tutorial materials, but no real simple introduction to the language itself with basic programming syntax examples.
While not exactly what you are asking for, I am informed that my "Squeak Smalltalk: A Quick Reference," has been found useful for these purposes. It does begin with a basic description of the language and some syntax examples.

This is an excellent document. I think it would be even more wonderful if one of the examples in the Binary Messages section were corrected. Shouldn't the line
3 + 4 factorial " ==> 27 (not 1540!) "
be
3 + 4 factorial " ==> 27 (not 5040!) "
instead?
Nitpickingly, Steve
