There appears some jokester who is subscribing people to the squeak mailing list without their consent. Might I suggest that the list be a bit more restrictive in its subscription process. Having the potential subscriber acknowledge that he/she wants to be part of the list via a confirmation e-mail is easy, quick and pretty much the standard on most mailing lists nowadays.
However, I can't see why they don't want to be on the list :)
