Create an UpdateStreamDownloader class to host Utilities class>>'fetching updates' methods. Utilities class side methods are copied as is to UpdateStreamDownloader class side with original authors/stamps The pre-trunk updateFromServer version has been restored.
In the future, the UpdateStreamDownloader could create instances if this makes sense... But since this is essentially unused, it might as well not happen.

I am too slow. I was wrapping up my work for submission tonight, doing exactly this. Ah, well!
Please carry on though, and I'll find something else to do. There's a Browser preference I can remove.

:) I will push a few usage of these methods in UpdateStream package BTW, should I just remove Utilities methods, or create some *deprecated45- category? If I deprecate, then deprecated will depend on UpdateStream.

I favour deprecating. Yes, 45Deprecated will depend on UpdateStream, but that's OK. AutoStart class >> #processUpdates can use MCMcmUpdater updateFromServer, while you're poking around!

So it means we'll have to put UpdateStream in the configuration map, otherwise we'll get some Undeclared

Yes, that sounds right. We'll also have to list the package as unloadable.
I'm busy moving some bits into UpdateStream now. You'll see the purpose in about 3 commits :)
