I thought fixing condenseSources was a relatively critical fix, so I'm adding it as a final update for 3.7gamma. (Plus a comment-only change to TwoWayScrollPane indicating that it's obsolete.)
Well, this fixes *a* problem with condenseSources, anyway... testing it just now with the gamma1 image, I'm seeing a different problem (nil isSeparator) which I don't think I was seeing with earlier images... sigh. Well, that will have to wait for 3.8, which will be a short release anyway.
No other critical-sounding bugs have come up for 3.7gamma, so this should be it. I'll release a gamma2 candidate image shortly, which includes these updates plus any appropriate Welcome Window changes from Marcus/Stephane's Full image.

I've created the 3.7gamma2 candidate basic image (hopefully the one that will be final) and put it here:

It contains the two latest updates plus a few welcome window cleanups from what Marcus did on the Full image. Also I fixed the Full/Basic/Guides links in the welcome text.

This looks good so far! The "Gentle Introduction to Smalltalk" is a very nice addition.
Here are a couple of small corrections for the Full image:

-> Worlds of Squeak -> The Net -> Quick Links ==> The workspace should open with the text scrolled to the top of the workspace.

You could put an a huge amout of time into improving that stuff that is in the image. (I personaly thing it needs to be completely redone)
But: We should release 3.7 *as soon as possible* and not spend now weeks on the full image. That needs to be done while there is time, not when there is no time.

The package maintainer of the mail reader adviced to inlcude it just like that. How is it not working? It does not show any mail, but I think this is because you need to configure it.
Flaps: Tools are supposed to register themselves. If that not works, it's either a non-showstopper bug in the image or a bug in the package, both we can't do anything about right now.

Hi Edgar,
I just wanted to say sorry if my mail soundet somewhat unfriendly: The tests you are doing are important. We just need to make sure to release 3.7 ASAP, even if there are some minor glitches. We should try to have them fixed in 3.8.

Agreed. We could allow a couple more days of testing but if no show-stopping bugs appear we should release the existing gamma2 images as 3.7 final.
Edgar's comments would be relevant for 3.8, though. Yeah, there's a lot of good stuff that could be done with the intro projects.
For what it's worth, I gave the g2Full image a quick test by opening all of the packages registered in the "open..." menu, and fiddling with them. Everything seems to be working. The only obvious problem I noticed was that the default page for Scamper ("browser:about") doesn't seem to work. Perhaps the default page should be changed to squeak.org or the swiki. (And I guess this means changing the package... the guides/harvesters should really have automatic co-maintainer access somehow to any SM packages registered as "Full". Maybe this should be a to-do for 3.8.)
Also, I don't know offhand how to set up Celeste to test it. Has anyone verified that Celeste works as included in the g2Full image?

The default browser page seems to be successfully changed in this image. (Also the welcome window title/headline fonts are fixed.)
However, for some reason it seems that the http://squeak.org and most other pages don't load when I open Scamper on its own or from a welcome window link. Does anyone else see this? The SM package loader seems to work fine, and the squeak.org and swiki pages work fine on browsers outside of Squeak.

Start page what scamper looks are missing of our disks and this is a reason of error.
In Mac , .htm valid files saved on disk don't load (this a long time bug about handling Mac conventions and happen in BookMorph too).
For the record, commercial browsers don't agree what suppose be a correct path to .htm file on Mac .

It's working for me now on a different machine, a powerbook running OS X 10.2 with the 3.7.1Beta2 Carbon VM. The other machine was OS X 10.3 with a 3.7.2 VM, if that makes a difference. Or I suppose a slowness in connectivity could have shown up in Scamper but not in SM or outside of Squeak? I'll test that other machine again later.
But basically 3.7g2Full looks good so far.

Testing a bit more, it turns out the problem was the 3.7.2 VM. The 3.7.4 carbon VM works fine. Probably the dreaded primitiveYield problem which was fixed in VMMaker awhile back.
