I have been receiving messages from the list regularly, so I am not sure what the attached message is all about. What bounces? Does anyone know what's going on here? I re-enabled my account, but I am not sure how it got into this state.
Thanks in advance for any help.

The same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. I solved it by changing the address used to subscribe to the list.
I suspect there's some kind of weird interaction between the mailing list server and some provider's SMTP server which causes the bounces.

I can't speak for your experience, but...
My original ISP went on an aggressive SPAM program and began using certain RBLs. For some reason the squeakfoundation mail server apparently was on somebodies blacklist.
Because of this my ISP began bouncing squeak-dev mail. This caused problems with my account. I changed my subscription to a different server and have had no problems since.
You might check with your ISP and report your problem and see if they are using any blacklist or any SPAM prevention software which could be causing the problem.
Hope this helps.

Do you know which blacklists?
I'm routinely checking on my mail server for:
* Spamcop.net * NJABL * SBL
and probably others, and haven't seen squeakland.org appearing there.

I will check my email records with them when I'm at work Monday. I'm on my new eMac and my email doesn't go that far back. This was 6-12+ months ago.

Do you mean squeakfoundation.org .....^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ?
The main reason I knew about this is because I cease getting any squeak-dev mail. Or when I did get mail it came through after several days of delays.
I subscribed concurrently with a different email from the ISP I use at home and could see the differences. So I contacted the tech support and that was the explanation they gave me. They discontinued using the problem RBL. Hopefully the problem RBL at some point got corrected.
