I think that our problems in getting the MPEG player to run may be due to using an old Linux VM. But I couldn't find a pre-build 2.9 or newer VM in any of the places that I looked. It's probably obvious ... could someone please post a url to the right ftp site ...

Hi all,
I have trouble making Mpeg3Plugin work on my Linux machine. The primitiveMPEG3CheckSig keeps failing. I executed "Smalltalk listLoadedModules". It showed that Mpeg3Plugin wasn't loaded.
I am running Squeak2.9a-3076. I have Bert's Mpeg3Plugin.so for Linux. It is in the same directory as the .image and .changes files. I filed in the MPEGJan2001Consolidation.2.cs.
What's going wrong?
Andrew,
I could send you my actual one Squeak-3.0pre2 VM ready to install as a gzipped tar file (about 0.6M) as personal eMail... Should run at your Linux (without guarantee, of course ;-) ).
The sources are available from http://www-sor.inria.fr/~piumarta/squeak/unix/Squeak-3.0pre2.tar.gz .
Greetings,
Stephan
