I was alarmed to find that the Squeak download link on http://www.seaside.st/download is a dead link. It is pointing to http://www.squeak.org/Documentation/Installation/#h-5 which no longer exists.
Can someone suggest an up-to-date link for the Squeak Seaside installation?
There is a nice page on the wiki at http://wiki.squeak.org/squeak/2272, but I do not know if it is current.
Presumably we should have some link to Tobias Pape's prepared images, such as the Squeak 4.4 image at ftp://ftp.squeak.org/4.4/seaside/. IIRC, Tobias has also done a newer prepared image for Squeak 4.5, but I do not find it on our ftp server.
I am not currently doing any Seaside work, but projects like Seaside and Aida are really important. We should keep these links working!

Yes.
http://www.squeak.org/Seaside http://www.squeak.org/Seaside
That page doesn’t exist yet, but I imagine it’ll take longer for somebody to get http://www.seaside.st http://www.seaside.st/ to change the link than it would to make new page. I’m responsible for the current link which dates from 2009 and I recall that it wasn’t that easy to find person at seaside.st to make the change.

Chris,
Thanks, that would be great if you can make a http://www.squeak.org/Seaside page with the Squeak Seaside installation information.

Having slept on this, I recall that I made a post on the Seaside mailing list asking them to change the link. I had no idea whom to ask, but Julian Fitzell took the lead and did so. How about we have a deal where I make a page and you post on the Seaside mailing list requesting a change (as I’m not subscribed). Between the two of us we can solve the problem.
(Actually, it looks like posts do go to the Seaside mailing list. At any rate, perhaps it would be good if you made a post saying “Official Request”? Or [ANN]? Or Something.)
Cheers, Chris
