I disagree. The standard says that after #removeAll: is executed, the receiver of #removeAll: will not retain a reference to the parameter to #removeAll: or, in other words, the receiver will not assign the parameter to a non-temporary variable, or invoke a method which would result in said parameter being assigned to a non-temporary variable. My interpretation is that it does not in any way prohibit
a removeAll: a
I find it interesting that
A) the return value from #removeAll: is unspecified, B) this discussion over relative trivia has gone on for as long and with as much vehemence as it has, and C) I have been fool enough to have become involved in it.
