Here is something I would like to take off the to-do list. I split the sqXWindow.c file (current version from SF) into three C files and a couple of new headers.
If you are doing any work with sqXWindow.c, I would appreciate if you can take a quick look at this and let me know if it looks OK. If there are no objections, I will update SourceForge in a day or two.
The files are: sqMain.c sqXWindow.c sqXWindow.h sqCopyImage.c sqCopyImage.h
Dave
p.s. Apologies to anyone who might be currently working on changes to sqXWindow.c. Having done this once, I can now redo this work if needed, although I would obviously like to avoid that if possible.

Is there going to be a similar attempt with the other platforms?
Is there any concern for name overlapping or will these be in different directories?
Seems like sqMain.c is a pretty generic name for a file that will be very platform-specific.

Why do think there would need to be? The platform specific files are just that, and can be aranged, split, named anything us port-wallahs want them to be. Or is there something about SourceForge that will mess up our happy anarchy? Please, say there isn't.
I could certainly go with the suggestion that there ought to be an sq{plat}Main.c for each platform that would represent a good starting place for visitors to look at the code, whether it had all the plat code in it or not.

I wasn't too clear as to whether the SourceForge repository was meant to be multi-platform. If it is, shouldn't we should have platform-specific stuff in separate directories?

There isn't.
SF seems to be a convenient place to keep development source for now. Whenever someone comes up with something better, just move the code.

Right. I changed sqMain.c to sqUnixMain.c. Thanks.
