Hello Marcel
On which platform did you experience the graphics display problem [1] after dropping an Etoys project to the desktop?
The system info I have in Ubuntu 14.04 [2]

Marcel,
Which home.pr file did you use for the test?
I used the one downloaded from https://freudenbergs.de/bert/squeakjs/Etoys/Home.007.pr

That looks very like something reporting the wrong pixel depth and thus working out the wrong ‘stride’. Seen it in the past on occasions when trying to be too clever with BitBlt.
