The box-admins team is reponsible for seeing that the community shared server is maintained and setting up any new features to be hosted on that server.
For July, 2008:
July was mostly another lazy summer month on the box-admins team report. On the 19th or 20th the community server was inaccessible and Marcus Denker requested that the hosting company reboot it and it was back up on the 21st.
I want to thank the community for the monetary support needed to fund the box and remind them that the bills continue to appear and that you can currently contribute to the hosting bills by going to
http://www.squeak.org/Foundation/SupportSqueak/
and purchasing a Squeak badge. Note that a donation here may be used for other Squeak Foundation services including but not limited to development, development infrastructure, and promotion of Squeak.
The services being hosted have continued to grow and include (but are not limited to):
SqueakMap - http://map.squeak.org/
http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/
http://discuss.squeakfoundation.org/
http://source.squeakfoundation.org/
http://update.squeakfoundation.org/
and DNS services for squeak.org and squeakfoundation.org domain names.

Good information to post might be how much the bills are, how much you are getting, and how "for only $1.00 month you too can...!"
Although, it would be great to be able to afford "open-mouthed stares!"
Anyway, a nice control chart showing the [undoubtedly] rising costs would certainly persuade some more folks? I honestly never even thought about how you did this before; I think I thought it was all volunteer/donated services...
Take care,
Rob

Actually, I would very much like to know this myself and have requested the information multiple times. But like many plans and projects this is waiting in limbo for finalization of the inclusion of Squeak into SFLC as a legal entity.

Interesting! SFLC? Squeak Foundation Something or Other?
And yet, someone, somewhere is actually paying the bills or providing the service!
Well, let me know if you need moral support...
