I recently tried to upgrade my Windows VM to the latest 3.10 version of the VM. ( This is on my Windows ME box ) However when I tried to open my 3.9image I get the error Unable to read image bytes 0 of 4. The images work fine with the older 3.7 VM. I also tried to open a fresh 3.9 image with the new VM but received the same error.
Is the 3.10 image only for the new 3.10 Version of squeak or is there something else happening.

I just downloaded the latest 3.10 VM and I also have the same issue that you described in Windows 98. I haven't tried in XP yet, though.

I found a thread on the Squeak VM mailing list that indicates that this was a problem with 3.10.3 and was fixed in 3.10.4. Looks like the problem is back in 3.10.6
