Hi,
Does anyone know who will be speaking about Squeak VM at this event ?

<Quote> While the problem domain is restricted to addressing kernel requirement issues, experience reports from researchers targeting alternative dynamic languages and component models to the JVM, Squeak VM, CLI, or other virtual machine architectures are also welcome. </Quote>
Cheers,
PhiHo.

AFAIK nobody is planning to speak specifically about Squeak.
FYI, the provisional list of presentations is:
Dan Sugalski - The Parrot Virtual Machine. Yukihiro Matsumoto - Lessons Learned From the Ruby Implementation. Ian Piumarta - The YNVM: an implementation engine for evolvable, agnostic runtime support. George Bosworth - Design Rationale For the Common Language Infrastructure. David Ungar - Title Forthcomming. David Simmons - Design and Implementation of SmallScript. Shawn Woods - Evolution Support In The Pegasus Class Model. Misha Dmitriev - Runtime Code Hotswapping in the Java Hotspot VM. Eliot Miranda - Parcels: Fast, convenient components without kernel support.

Hi Ian,

How come, what a pity.
Ian Piumarta - The YNVM: an implementation engine for evolvable, agnostic runtime support.
Ah, because of this ;-)
I guess I have to wait until that day to know what YNVM stands for and will it evolve to J5 ;-)
Thanks for the info, Ian.
Cheers,
PhiHo.

Hi Ian,
Now that the paper was presented at the event, is it available somewhere for non-attenders to read ?
BTW, what platforms does YNVM support ?
Thanks,
PhiHo.
