I've just released yet one more version of the same ESUG presentation. This time it's a *VMWare Appliance* that you should be able to use with the free VMWare Player (http://www.vmware.com/products/player/)
Using the VMWare disk mount utility (http://www.vmware.com/download/eula/diskmount_ws_v55.html), or directly from VMWare Workstation (if you own it), or in Linux using vmware-mount.pl, you can mount the included virtual disk, change the .image file, and reboot.
This is currently the easiest and fastest way to test your modified bootable Squeak images.

I remember you were interested in having USB support. Although we don't yet have it, we've done a little bit in that direction (included in the released image), and we'll try to push it a little bit forward until it's possible to talk to devices... let's see what we get.
