Congratulations anyway with this Mail Editor (which may perhaps already
exist for a long time ? it is new for me, but I suppose in the long and
colorful history of Smalltalk/Squeak applications like Mail Editor were 
written). I'm sure over a period of 40 years or more, that has been the case.

Mail Editor and your app seems to work on Solaris 11.3 / 11.4.

Nice application.

Regarding SMTP settings, I believe there exists not just one definition
of SMTP with auth, but various different RFC's extensions of SMTP with
different techniques/extensions (SMTP SASL for example).

But there are different extensions, it would be incorrect to say that this
is "the" SMTP protocol as the basic SMTP does not have this extension.

In case you would get email (from me or somebody who pretends it is me),
telling you , that you know nothing about Smalltalk programming,
don't assume the message is authentic.
