Hi all,
Leslie Hawthorn from Google explains what we're supposed to do before the Summer of Code actually begins.
Giovanni
I can reply :) Damien is sharing (too much) my office. Mathieu is already working on the compiler.

Hello everyone,
I posted a bit more about the community bonding period here: http://googlesummerofcode.blogspot.com/2007/04/so-what-is-this- community-bonding-all.html
Students, if you haven't heard from your mentor, let us know. You should also know that engaging with your community at this time is critical. If you disappear or are unresponsive between now and May 28th, your organization may decide that they're not confident in your ability to execute on your project during the summer and they're free to drop you if such is the case.
Then again, you're all no doubt happily lurking in IRC already. ;)
I'd love to hear from folks what folks are doing to encourage their students to participate in their communities during this time.
Students, if your organization is doing something you feel is particularly cool, I'd love to hear from you, too!
Cheers, LH

They should come to Berne for some time... we are planning with Math that he will visit in August, before the ESUG conference and the special "Summer of Code" social event.
But Damien could visit, too for some days and discuss with us... and let you alone in your office for some days ;-)
Marcus
would be fun we should do it.
