It's really annoying having to hunt through numbered changesets to find the ones that are mine. However, I would vote for a third approach than the two mentioned: sort the changesets by *name*, in reverse order. This gives you an intuitive ordering, fast lookups if you know the name, and separation of numbered and non-numbered changesets. It remains easy to figure out which numbered changesets were added most recently, because after all, numbered changesets are numbered in order, anyway. Finally, it avoids adding a menu item to an already large menu. Lex

To put it another way, if Squeak in Morphic ever puts out the same pixel to the server within 10 ms (or whatever your frame-rate limit is), then there is either a bug in Squeak or a bug in the VM's implementation of deferred screen updates. Given this, what does the modification that you have made buy for people? For example, setting "PasteUpMorph MinCycleLapse: 1000" should reduce network traffic pretty far, too.... Lex

Hi Scott & David. I think both goodies complement each other functionally. Scott's helps to identify our local change sets (not from SqC) and David's helps to clean up our image after we're done with the SqC change sets (although personally, I prefer to keep them forever :-). I have discovered a proliferation of duplicate method versions in my image, because I often re-file-in stuff to "fix up my image" after hacking. Wouldn't it be great if the file-in mechanism skipped over exactly identical changes? SystemOrganization in 2.7

Hi, Since we're closing in on a new release, could I ask again for a hierarchical system organization? For those using the PackageBrowser, it's really nice to have a top level "package" organization that looks like Kernel Collections Graphics Music Interface System Network Morphic Wonderland (other packages here such as TGen, Siren, ...) (Part of the raison d'etre of the PackageBrowser is to be able to get anywhere in the system without having to scroll the browser lists.) Note that I merge Numeric into Kernel, Balloon into Graphics and Alice into Wonderland (where she belongs).
