how to obtain the December 22, 2005 version of SqueakPluginInstaller.exe?

There used to be a December 22, 2005 version of SqueakPluginInstaller.exe available at http://www.squeakland.org/installers/SqueakPluginInstaller.exe, but it doesn't seem available there anymore. Does anybody know where I can find it? I'm trying to restore a previous installation of Squeak that required me to install language fonts every time I started up the application, but I mistakenly saved the image file, and now there doesn't seem to be a way to restore the default state. However, the SqueakPlugin.image file included in the above installer apparently had that default state. Does anybody know where I can find that particular SqueakPluginInstaller.exe or SqueakPlugin.image file? -- Benjamin L. Russell -- Benjamin L. Contributing to 3.11: Step-by-step

Folks - To summarize some of the discussion on IRC, here is a step-by-step guide for how to contribute to 3.11: 1. Report an issue at http://bugs.squeak.org/ 2. If you have a fix/patch attach it to the bug report 3. Add an installer script to the notes, like here: (for more options see http://installer.pbwiki.com/Installer#Mantis) "fix begin" Installer mantis bug: 1234 fix: 'FixTheBug.cs'. "fix end" 4. Test your fix: Installer mantis ensureFix: 1234 5. To propose this fix as a candidate for 3.11: a) Obtain "developer" status on Mantis. You can do this by mailing box-admins(a)lists.squeakfoundation.org. b) Update the issue and set the "Status" field to "testing" c) Update the issue and set "Fixed in Version" field to "3.11" This field is only accessible in the "advanced" view, so if you do not see it you need to change to the "advanced" view by clicking on "view advanced" or "update advanced" in the top right. 6. Load all the fixes with testing status: (Installer mantis bugsAll select:[:bug| ((bug status = 'testing' or:[bug status = 'resolved']) and:[bug fixedIn = '3.11']]) do:[:bug| bug ensureFix]. 7. Problem with SMTPClient

Hi: I am trying to send an email from Squeak. I have ubuntu and postfix smtp server running in my local machine. I know postfix is running OK. I could do successfully the following test from a linux console: 220 Servidor ESMTP HELO localhost 250 Hello, please meet you MAIL FROM: destinomochila(a)gmail.com 250 Ok RCPT TO: matias_dolian(a)hotmail.com 250 Ok DATA 354 End data with <CR><LF>.<CR><LF> Subject: Campo de asunto From: destinomochila(a)gmail.com To: matias_dolian(a)hotmail.com Hola, Esto es una prueba3. Adiós. . quit However, when I try to do SMTPClient I do something like this: | message sender recipients | message := 'From: DestinoMochila <destinomochila(a)gmail.com> To: You <marianopeck(a)gmail.com> Subject: Simple Mail from Squeak This is a test mail'. sender := 'destinomochila(a)gmail.com'. recipients := #('marianopeck(a)gmail.com'). SMTPClient deliverMailFrom: sender to: recipients text: message usingServer: '127.0.0.1' I have no errors, but the email is never send :( This is the first time I try to use SMTPClient so perhaps I am doing something wrong. I was reviewing some of the changes in Mantis and found http://bugs.squeak.org/view.php?id=6086 That is yet far better than previous implementation, but I still wonder about the logic: wantsLineEndConversion: aBoolean wantsLineEndConversion := aBoolean. lineEndConvention ifNil: [ self detectLineEndConvention ]. Why to detectLineEndConvention if user explicitely asked wantsLineEndConversion: false? Of course, since wantsLineEndConversion is false by default, most senders will use with aBoolean = true. But then why providing an argument at all? Nicolas

Cuis on Windows Mobile (PDA)

Hi, I'm trying Cuis on my HTC, and works with very very good performance. A little problem I see, is, thath a Browser, when "maximized" don't maximize to all world, there are always a margin, and, this margin, for a screen in 320x240, is very big. How can I change this behaviour and, when maximize, do it to all world withou any margin? Other improvement, could be to launch the menu, when click, and stay pressed (the default "right click" on Windows Mobile). Could be possible to implement this? Cheers.

Process conflict when redisplaying World

Image is Squeak3.10.gamma.7159. I have a visualization demo. It runs in a separate process to permit mouse and keyboard input while it runs: startChaosAnimation currentState = #CHAOS ifTrue: [^self]. currentState := #CHAOS. processSemaphore wait. BB2ChaosCtx startChaosAnimationOn: data. processSemaphore signal. ] fork. BB2ChaosCtx startChaosAnimationOn: data starts a loop that creates and removes Morphs interspersed with suitable Delays to get the speed right. The process can run for several hours before crashing in various ways. It sometimes crashes with a primitiveError while redisplaying World. A simpler stop was an MNU in MorphicEventDispatcher>>dispatchDefault: anEvent with: aMorph where aMorph = a PasteUpMorph [world], with fullBounds = nil My process is clearly in some unfortunate state when the main process repaints or handles the mouse. Any ideas how I should make my process safe? Mass upload to squeaksource ?

Is there a simple way to upload many MC snapshots at once to a SqueakSource project ? Dear open source contributors, I am Eunyoung Chung, a Masters student working with Dr. Jensen at Oregon State University. We are currently doing a research project in collaboration with Dr.Truong and Ph.D student Koji Yatani at University of Toronto. Our goal is to understand how contributors communicate and collaborate in Open Source Software (OSS) projects, including diagramming practices. Box-Admins Team Report for April, 2009

The box-admins team is reponsible for seeing that the community shared server is maintained and setting up any new features to be hosted on that server. For April, 2009: Nothing much to report for last month. The community server continues to purr along and has been up now for 198 days. I want to thank the community for the monetary support needed to fund the server and remind you that the bills continue to appear and that you can currently contribute to the hosting costs by going to http://www.squeak.org/Foundation/SupportSqueak/ and purchasing a Squeak badge.
