physics code needed

I'm looking for some basic physics smalltalk code. It's the typical problem of wanting to input x/y/z acceleration data, to alter the movement of an object with a given friction coefficient on a 2 dimensional plane. Obviously I'm sure some smalltalkers have done this about a million times, and likely the code exists somewhere in croquet etc, however some clues about where are welcome? -- = = = ======================================================================== John M. Writing MIDI files ?

Hi all, Although Squeak can read a MIDI file and play it, there seems to be no provision for writing out a file in MIDI format that could then be used by other software or MIDI equipment - is this so? I have of course looked for classes/methods that might do this, and browsed the wikis. The idea would be to generate MIDI codes from some other sort of input data - such as a string of letters, or actual MIDI input - translate them to MIDI form and write them out. If it's obvious, I can't quite see it - Greg

DotNet problem

I am trying to reproduce something similar tot he following VB code, using the Squeak DotNet bridge. retVal = someObject.nSetValue("Comment$","Debit Amount") retVal = some.nSetValue("DebitAmount", 200) The first line works, but the second line doesn't. It reports that the method is Missing. Any help would be much appreciated. Keith

Hi Damien, Yes, it also works on OmniBrowser, and in the Workspace too. I suppose it works also with Traits, but I haven't tried. Stalling own SqueakSource instance

Dear all, I’m experiencing recurrent stalling when someone is uploading to my SqueakSource instance. This is producing a 100% processor load on my machine. Looking at the Process browser, many (10+) processes are waiting (by Semaphore) for one process, where an HTTP-Put request is processed. This process is “waiting for data,” as it seems to me. It stalls at Socket>>waitForDataIfClosed: Can anyone give me a hint? I might provide further data (e.g., stack trace), if necessary. So Long and thanks, -Tobias Pape
