Hi guys, anybody knows where do I found a table to match ISO country codes to language codes? like: US -> EN UK -> EN AU -> EN BR -> PT PT -> PT ES -> ES AR -> ES and so on for all this planet? thanks sebastian PD: I dont need klingon codes so far :^)

iphone testers for fractions calculator needed

I've built a fractions calculator for the iPhone and need a few folks to really test it. (confirm it's sane). Although there are a number of fraction calculators in the store, none do unlimited precision fractions or unlimited factorials, so I've created one that allows you to enter fractions, brackets, floating point numbers, factorials, all of which are converted to fractions as need be before applying the basic math logic via a grammer constructed by SmaCC. This all of course is based in Squeak. Cough, well it's not quite complete I''ve only constructed the grammer, the SUnits (133) and the basic UIViews. Segmentation fault with VM 3.10.4 (was Re: Cuis - Some trouble on the display)

Time zone help

I have an app that needs to track a local time and the different from UTC. If I do this: DateAndTime localTimeZone: (TimeZone offset: -5 hours name: 'EST5EDT' abbreviation: 'EST5EDT'). Then it is easy for me to make conversions to UTC using #asUTC. The problem is this offset needs to be adjusted twice a year. I've looked at the time zone plugin but it seems pretty heavyweight for something that is /almost/ workable in the image. Does anyone have a solution for this? I'm using Squeak3.9.1 if it makes a difference. David

I am planning an introductory course in Smalltalk for high school students. This will be starting from scratch; no previous programming experience required. The goal is to be able to create self-made personal software. To this end I have been working through The Laser Game Tutorial and Squeak by Example. Neither seem right for beginners. Can anyone recommend any other books or teaching materials? Fwd: NebraskaServer help!

Hi! I have a query: First of all, i must tell you that i speak Spanish, so i'll try to do my best to explain myself in English. I'm trying to make a multiplayer game so i want to share a "playfield" so that players can interact each other. I found the clasess NebraskaServerMorph and NetworkTerminalMorph and I started to explore they to find out the way they work. But I have some troubles because i can only serve the "main" world.. I created subworlds doing |myworld| myworld _ (PasteUpMorph newWorldForProject:nil). myworld color: Color blue. myworld openInWorld. myworld viewBox: (19@19 extent: 300@300). and I tried to serve it doing: NebraskaServerMorph serveWorld: myworld. it seems to work but when i want to connect to it from another pc, creating a NetworkTerminalMorph and opening it in scaled mode, i can't see anything! It only shows an orange window -as it was not connected, but the server recognizes the client because it shows "Nebraska 1 client"- I repeat, It doesn't happens with the main world.. Maybe I have to set another property to the created subworld that allows it to be shared, i don't know! I don't want to share the main world because the clients could access to all the visible options and do modifications (maybe unwanted modifications) in that image. It's a special case but maybe anyone can help me.. Thank you!

Hi all, Recently I installed OpenSuse 11.1 in my work machine, and I'm trying to get Squeak working. I downloaded Squeak-3.10-4.i686-pc-linux-gnu.tar.gz from http://www.squeakvm.org/unix/ I tried to launch ./INSTALL but it told me: "Your architecture appears to be: x86_64-linux-gnu. No binaries/libraries found for x86_64-linux-gnu. You might have tell INSTALL whch cpu-vendor-os to use." [ANN] OCompletion is updated

Dear all, OCompletion, my completion extension that takes into account which methods you actually use and hence proposes more accurate completion, (as shown in http://www.inf.unisi.ch/phd/robbes/papers/ASE2008-completion.pdf) has been updated and now works also on class names. OCompletion is included by default in the Pharo-dev images. As Henrik Johansen (from the Pharo mailing list) says: > I love OCompletion, first time I've found completion > in Smalltalk actually helpful! To install OCompletion in squeak 3.10, just execute the following line in a workspace: Installer squeaksource project: 'OCompletion'; install: 'OCLoader'.
