Every time in 3.1 when I add the instance variable "velocity" to the ellipse object, there's a brief pause (3-7 seconds) and then Squeak crashes completely.

Where is Mark's tutorial located? (I couldn't find on either of the recent CD collections).
I had earlier loaded up all the latest updates, and thought I would try to recreate your bug on a Windows platform, but then couldn't find the tutorial. I _was_ able to create an Ellipse object with ivs: o1 and o2, and then update the definition with a velocity iv. But this is pretty naive without any context from Mark's stuff.
