Scratch in Deutschland/Österreich/Schweiz - und bei squeak.de?

Hallo Leute, Es wird Zeit,auf das kleine/grosse Geschwisterchen von Etoys hinweisen: Scratch! Scratch bietet einen sehr guten Einstieg ins Programmieren für Kinder ab zwölf - ist dabei weniger "anarchistisch" als Etoys, so ist es nicht open source, man kann nicht so ohne weiteres in Smalltalk wechseln, aber dafür ist es höchst professionell (mit Squeak) gemacht, man kommt mit Scratch sehr schnell zum Ziel, was eine Unmenge an Beispielen http:// scratch.mit.edu/galleries/browse/newest beweisen. Es bildet sich grade eine aktive deutschsprachige Community zu Scratch, einige tolle Scratch Projekte dieser Community gibt es hier: http://scratch.mit.edu/galleries/view/1638 Jetzt interessiert mich sehr, wie Ihr das seht: Können wir den Scratchern anbieten, bei uns im Verein mitzumachen (entsprechend auch Stände mit Scratch, Vorträge und Fahrtkosten sponsorn etc.) und auch natürlich einen grossen Teil vom squeak.de Kuchen abzubekommen? Ich denke, wir haben die gleichen Ziele und die gleiche Technik und beide Communities haben noch zu wenig Masse alleine, wäre also sehr dafür. Meinungen? +1s, -1s etc.? Liebe Grüsse, Markus

Hallo Ihr Lieben, es gibt jetzt eine FAQ-Liste auf squeak.de. Bisher gibt es zwei Einträge, aber sicher fallen euch noch mehr Sachen ein, die wir dort aufnehmen sollten. Wie bei solchen Listen üblich, gehören dort Probleme hin, die häufiger auftreten. Schickt einfach weitere Vorschläge für Fragen an die Liste oder tragt sie selber auf der Seite ein, wenn ihr einen Zugang dafür habt. Viele Grüße, Rita

Fehler in Projekt Autorennen auf squeak.de?

Hallo! Das Projekt Autorennen erzeugt nach dem Laden eine Exception: Error: attempt to index non-existent element in an ordered collection Wenn man sie wegdrückt, scheint das Programm zwar zu laufen. Leider erscheint der Text auf der linken Seite ohne jeden Umlaut. Gibt es eine Lösung für das/die Problem/e? Johannes

Umlaute

Hallo Ich möchte Auszüge aus einer csv-Textdatei (utf-8) in Seaside anzeigen und habe Probleme bei der Anzeige von Umlauten. Das Einlesen mittels FileStream readOnlyFileNamed: aFile und das anschliessende Parsen (findTokens: escapedBy:) funktioniert prima. Wenn ich aber in renderContentOn: die Daten ausgebe (der Browser steht auf utf-8) sehe ich keine Umlaute. Seltsamerweise erscheinen sie, wenn ich im Browser auf iso-8859-1 wechsle. Dabei war das Original-File utf-8 und in Squeak (im Explorer) sehe ich auch die Umlaute. Muss ich vor der Ausgabe irgendwo noch einmal konvertieren? Brauche ich asWideString? Navigator-Klappe verschwindet.

Hallo! Ich habe gerade mal Squeak3.9-final-7067 auf meinem Mac installiert. Wenn ich im Navigator auf Deutsch umschalte, ist anschließend die Navigator-Klappe weg. Im Klappenmanager fehlt danach auch der Eintrag für den Navigator. Zurückschalten auf Englisch hilft auch nicht. Weiß jemand, wie man die Navigator-Klappe zurückholen kann? Johannes

Hallo Michael Haupt, eine kleine Frage: Ich halte meinen Squeak-Kurs am Helmholtz-Gymnasium Karlsruhe donnerstags von 17h30-19h00. Wäre es für Sie vorstellbar, für meine Schüler im Rahmen ihres Events eine kurze Demo zu geben. Ich stelle mir vor: WebEx auf beiden Seiten, Sie zeigen vielleicht eines dieser Spiele und die Schüler können ein paar Fragen dazu stellen. Wäre für die Schüler hier natürlich eine große Motivation, von anderen Squeakern zu hören. Was wir derzeit machen: die Jugendlichen haben mit Squeak seit 1 1/4 Jahren Umgang. Wir haben mit BotsInc (S. Ducasse) angefangen, haben dann für kurze Zeit EToys angesehen und sind nun seit einigen Monaten mit dem Spiel Pong beschäftigt. Pong habe ich aus BreakOut (siehe gleichnamiges SqueakSource-Projekt von S. Ducasse) gewonnen, indem ich es auf ein Minimum heruntergestrippt habe. (Erst später habe ich gesehen, dass am HPI auch ein Breakout entstanden ist.) Die Jugendlichen haben die Verteilung der Verantwortlichkeiten auf mehrere Klassen verstanden und können einzelne Methoden verstehen. Zur Zeit entwickeln wir einen Simulator für Pong, damit wir (für hartnäckige Fehler) Dauertests fahren können.
