I don't know if this will affect anyone, but I'm moving from Gibson to Cigital. So... no longer will I be putting software in guitars, I'll be putting secure software in flight reservation systems. Reflective Support in Spoon

Hello! I was wondering what is the cost of a reflective support. What would be the gain to remove the reflection in spoon ? At deployment phase, reflection are not useful anymore. Does anyone already though about removing it ? re: communication problem with control.image and working.image

Hi Youssef-- The problem is that there was no Sorcerer actively serving from the control system when the working system started (so the Apprentice in the working system couldn't connect to it). As a result, no message-sending connection was established between the two systems, so the proxy you were trying to use in the control system was nil. The steps for operation are: 1. Start the control system and evaluate "self close; reopen" in the Sorcerer inspector. That will get it serving. 2. Start the working system (it will connect). 3. Check the connection by selecting "self" in the fields pane of the Sorcerer inspector. It should indicate that it has a peer connected to it. 4. You can then evaluate expressions that use proxies, like the "OtherBrowser" one. Hi Craig, I launched "control.image" on a machine in local area networks, then I launched "working.image" on another machine, but I am not able to make them communicate "control.image <-----> working.image". What I must make ? Thanks you for your support,

Just to clarify, I want to use object references within a single object memory, and UUIDs to refer to objects in other object memories. Hi Craig, i'm trying to recompile the VM Spoon machine under Linux without success. In order to generate the VM, which version of VMMaker should i use ? What plugins should i add ? What version of the Squeak VM sources should i use ? Right now, i use Squeak-3.7b5 VM sources.
