Also the owner of "porno.ro", "freesex.ro", etc.?
Would "domain name speculator" be a better term?

Baring opinions about right/wrong etc or my choice of words at the time, it's a good question to ask.
As the original poster, it's an interesting question to ask if and how one deletes a historically posted message from the squeak mailing lists.
Like for example how the folks at www.archive.org do it
http://www.archive.org/about/exclude.php
or better yet the ones at http://www.google.com/remove.html
If Florian want's it gone I have no problems with that, so any procedures in place to do that?

Unless you present me with a subpoena valid for The Netherlands, the answer is probably 'not'. I'm hosting the mailing lists on the (implicit) condition that they don't cost me work, and removing messages from the archives cost me work.
I've put a fee of USD/EUR 45.00 on such 'small jobs' to put a filter on similar requests from my customers (on the assumption that if you *really* want it, you are willing to pay for it). That's probably something I'd use as a starting point...
Anyway, it won't help a lot - the list is archived at lots of sites, not just at the 'canonical' site. If you really want to remove something from the Internet, it is going to cost you a lot of work...

Removing a cross-archived message from the internet would be akin to retrieving a glass of water spilled in the ocean, or recalling a breath. And that's just one of the good things about the internet. (-:

My big concern about this is that as soon as the archiver starts editing the contents of the archive, they're responsible for the archive contents because they're acting as an editor.
If they don't edit, then the words are merely the responsibility of the original posters.
In my mind, this is akin to the current status of the Internet as a common carrier: the owners of the backbone machines don't have any responsibility for the packets that they move.
