Hi all!
I hereby take the liberty of telling you all that StSq has agreed upon accepting the offer from SqF to use the Swiki and the mailinglist that Cees has set up for us at squeakfoundation.org.
If you go to *http://swiki.squeakfoundation.org/stablesqueak* you can now see it is not empty any more. In fact... well, why don't we just wait and read the announcement from John about that, shall we! :-) :-) Sorry John for spilling the beans ;-)
We will move over to the new list from our current little alias stsq@bluefish.se tomorrow - all 15 of us! (yep, we are growing) And just a small note: We insist on keeping the list FREE from SqF discussions - we really want the StSq list to be focused on StSq work. :-)
And finally I think I talk for all the StSq:ers when I say that decisions regarding StSq is still being made by the StSq:ers working on it on the list with our coordinator John Sarkela "at the top". No change there whatsoever! ;-) (serious smiley with a twinkle)
Happy Squeaking, Gran

Cool. I hope that you StSq guys will be happy with SqF's service (we're not worthy, etcetera... ;-)).
Just in case you may have missed it: I'm about to transfer everything to another machine (yeah, couldn't have picked a better time, could I?). Things have been prepared to go as smoothly as possible, but it won't work without downtime. I'm currently syncing the disks on both machines (keeping gigabytes in sync over the Internet...), probably in one or two hours from now I'll take the old box off-line, switch IP addresses, and put the new box on-line during the time DNS needs to propagate the IP addresses (~1 hour, I kept the time-to-live in DNS low in preparation of this transition).
I'm experienced enough to predict that Murphy will make sure that I am going to mess things up terribly, so please be patient if SqF services aren't available between 21:00 and 24:00 CEST (that's between noon and 3pm Pacific, and between 3pm and 7pm Eastern).
Oh, my BDSM (Beer Drinking Sales&Marketing) colleague told me never to announce downtime without stressing post-downtime customer benefits: the target box is faster and it sits on an extremely fast bit of the Internet (AboveNet). Film at 11.
Regards,
Cees
