I have prepared a DrGeo bundle with its own image. It is definitely faster to start (1-2s vs 2 min) When I use it on my XO machine I have at the start a non fatal error about a missing primitive (related to DBus) My laptop does not use latest build, so it may just be a problem of my own. Can someone with latest build test it on ?

For installation , you can follow instruction at http://wiki.laptop.org/go/DrGeo#How_to_install_if_it_fails_from_Browse.3F

I am testing it on 8.2-764 that is very close to the latest (8.2-765). Start up performance is impressive ! I haven't observed "missing primitive" error on start up.
After saving, proper journal entry for DrGeoII is listed. But resuming causes error (log attached). I am looking into this right now...

Thanks for your test. I can't upgrade to latest build now, the wifi connection is down.

That's a good news

On my laptop, when I save a project it does not appear in the Journal. However I can find it when I hold press on the "load project" button, then go to the Activity My Squeak folder (or something like that). Then loading works fine. In the activity I set up the mime type to application/x-squeak-project, at least it seems to work with latest build!

FYI, you're getting the missing primitive error because your build is using an older Squeak vm. So yes, updating either your XO, or installing a newer vm (latest is 3.10-10) will get rid of it.

I am using Etoys on non-XO Ubuntu-based Linux and have also been getting failure on a DBus primitive ( to reproduce open DBus explorer and try to expand either category). Having checked Trac and saw no related bugs I assumed it was something to do with not being on an XO. Is there a new 3.10-10 build to download? Also don't get any image updates (Linux/ Windows), image reports latest as # 2139.

It is built from sugar-jhbuild. Or you can build it from http://squeakvm.org but that can be a bit involving as I understand. It would be nice if there was a link online somewhere for it. If there is, I don't know about it. I can offer you the -6 in the meantime, which also works: http://dev.laptop.org/pub/epaati/squeak-vm-3.10-3olpc6.i386.rpm

That should be 3.10-3olpc10
