Ezmlm-to-mbox script

Just an FYI that I have written a Python script to produce an mbox file suitable for mailman from an ezmlm archive and that it can be found in ~discuss/bin/ezmlm-to-mbox in case anyone has need of it. It is MIT licensed. Ken

Box-Admins Team Report for January, 2006

The box-admins team is reponsible for seeing that the community shared server is maintained and setting up any new features to be hosted on that server. January was a pretty quiet month and included importing Flow mailing list archives, attempting to improve the gmane archives of the Squeak-dev mailing list, investigation of possible mailing server issues, discussion of squeak.org hostnames, and new hosting for the Squeak Swiki. I want to thank the community for the monetary support needed to fund these boxes and remind them that the bills continue to appear and that you can currently contribute to the hosting bills by going to http://discuss.squeakfoundation.org/ and clicking on the 'donate' button at the top right. Note that a donation here may be used for other Squeak Foundation services including but not limited to development, development infrastructure, and promotion of Squeak. The services being hosted have continued to grow and include (but are not limited to): http://www.squeak.org/ SqueakMap - http://map.squeak.org/ http://ftp.squeak.org/ http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/ http://discuss.squeakfoundation.org/ http://source.squeakfoundation.org/ and DNS services for squeak.org and squeakfoundation.org domain names. Setting up a UK Smalltalk mailing list.

We're trying to build a local Smalltalk community and it would be very helpful to have a mailing list to keep in touch with. Would it be OK to set up a UK Smalltalk mailing list on the community Squeak server? For me, it would be convenient to have it there because the Exupery list is already there. While the new list will not be only for Squeak it's still a Smalltalk group with a strong Squeak emphasis. Smalltalk is still a small community it seems silly to restrict local activities to a single dialect. Getting a group to critical size is more important at this stage. So may I have a mailing list for UK Smalltalkers on the Squeak community server to help us organise local events? Bryce

Hmm... Either there's a double subscription, or the interaction with bellsouth.net and box2 results in box2 thinking that the mail didn't go through. I suspect that the latter might be the first thing we want to research, because with a double subscription the timestamps of the deliveries would be closer to each other. I've CC'ed the box admins, because I am a bit busy at the moment, maybe one of them can go through the mail logs before I get a chance.
