Good question. I deleted all these *porn* asterisk usernames created in the last day or so, I also deleted three acccount previously created with 'VisitorNNN' usernames.
At this point I don't think it has yet to be a big problem. I will take responsibility for monitoring these for now and deleting them as they appear. Also it's worth checking with the Mantis community to see what others are doing, I doubt we are the only target or even the biggest one. If all else fails I think I can do some minor things to make the signup form more bot-resistant. I'm always reluctant though to modify the Mantis source if I can avoid it, I really don't want to have to have to track Mantis versions closely.
