I've sent several mails to squeak-dev but I see no evidence that they arrived (through looking at http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/pipermail/squeak-dev/2013-November/date.ht...).
I've not seen any commit mails there either, from the commits I issued today.
Is the list broken?
(He says, sending a mail to a different list on the same box.)

There are quite a few places in Kernel that reference Preferences showDeprecationWarnings.
I'd like to turn this preference into a new-world pragma based preference, and Deprecation (despite being an exception) seems like a good place to hang the preference.
So instead of saying "Preferences showDeprecationWarnings" you'd say "Deprecation showWarnings", and the preference would be called "Show deprecation warnings".
Any strong objection?
