Hi Ken,
I'd like to get Apache on box4 for deploying squeak.org. I figure I'll use Apache to deploy it behind one of the domains I have (i.e. 16r.ca) to get started, and then when it's ready we can switch it over to squeak.org. I don't think I have sudo on box4, so I cannot install anything. If you could install Apache or give me sudo, that would be great.
Thanks, Chris
I thought you just wanted to test out running it on Box4, not actually deploy it. I'm not ready to install a web server yet. I'm actually not planning to install Apache but instead probably nginx. But I'm still in the process of evaluating that and making sure that is not going to be problematic. Can you wait a while longer for that step?
Also, regarding a 'proper' hostname, making changes to the squeak.org domain is quite easy and I would prefer that once we are ready for that you not use another domain name and add confusion. In the past while evaluating a new website and testing it out we have used new.squeak.org and we can use that again, or something else if you prefer.

nginx is certainly considerably easier to configure than Apache!

No worries. I didn't really know where you were with box4. nginx sounds great.

new.squeak.org I'm sure will work just fine.
The squeak.org image using Altitude runs on box4, so I can proceed as I have before. I'm happy to wait until you've arrived at how you want to set up box4.
