Hi Ken & the box admins.
The new web archive software for the discussion lists is working great, thanks for the upgrade.
I had one issue with using eSubscribe, though. I hit the eSubscribe link in the morphic-splitters archive, and sent the automatically generated email to morphic-splitters-subscribe. (This was last night.)
I expected to get some sort of confirmation email that I was subscribed, but so far I haven't received anything. I then tried to send a post to the list anyway, but I got a failure notice that I wasn't subscribed.

All discuss.squeakfoundation.org mailing list services have now been moved to the new server. I'm trying out some different web archive software on the new server that has some extra features. It seems to be working OK right now but if anyone runs into any trouble please send an email to box-admins@discuss.squeakfoundation.org .

I'm planning to move the hosting of the various discuss.squeakfoundation.org services, most prominently including the mailing lists, to the new server tomorrow. This should go smoothly but for as much as maybe half an hour reception to the lists may be sporadic and possibly out of order. Web access to the archives may be down for longer but hopefully not more than an hour or two.
At the same time I will be moving ftp.squeak.org to the new server but no one should even notice the transition.
On Thursday or Friday I plan to move the www.squeak.org site to the new server.

Doug,
If you remember when you send such an email you should get back a request to confirm your subscription request similar to the one I have attached. I got this email after clicking the 'Subscribe' link to the right of morphic-splitters in the 'Lists Menu' and sending the resulting email. Did you not get a similar one?
I think you are saying you hit the one in the menu at the top of the page (or bottom) while viewing the archive. It looks to be the same to me so it should also work. In the end of course it is just generating an email which you can do yourself. Requesting a subscription to any of the lists on discuss can be done by appending '-subscribe' to the username part of the list email address.

Right, I did not get the confirmation email (like the one you attached).
Ah, your message made me think that my spam filter might have caught the confirmation email. Sure enough, there it is in my Spam box. Sorry about that! Nevermind. :)
(My spam filter has gotten good enough lately that I forget to check it for anything...)
