Right. You don't want to change the name, but the description of the list.

Eliot,
Oh dear, that is definitely not what I had in mind. I was hoping for something more like "s/Squeak/Open Smalltalk/".
I'll take this over to the box-admins list and see if there is a practical solution.

Following discussion with the board today, I would like to change the identification for the vm-dev mailing list to be "Open Smalltalk Virtual Machine Development Discussion" ("Open Smalltalk" rather than specifically "Squeak").
I cannot see a way to do this from the administrator's page for vm-dev (which I control), so I suspect it may be something that can be done in the MailMail list configurations. Can someone help, or point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Dave
This is it:
But since I was already there I simply changed it :)
Directly under that field is a longer "description" field. It's currently blank. We may or may not want to put a link to opensmalltalk.org or GitHub there. This would show up in the "About Vm-dev" section at http://lists.squeakfoundation.org/mailman/listinfo/vm-dev

Hi everyone,
Just a nit but shouldn't the description read "OpenSmalltalk ..." instead of "Open Smalltalk ..."?
See http://opensmalltalk.org/ and https://github.com/OpenSmalltalk.

It is meant to sound a bit generic, after all there are various other VM related projects that get discussed from time to time :-)
And I did ask the same question to Eliot, who said he preferred the "Open Smalltalk" terminology.
