Anyone have any additional comments about Stef's "Could we fix the web site" email?

I think the changes we made is sufficient for the moment.
We could try to just show the headlines of each news message, but then again you will have to go offsite to read it. The way it is now you can read enough so you will know that the news is something you really want to read before clicking it.
A way to show dates the news is posted could be nice though.
Keep up the good work.

Well... we now have dates and the links are to a new window/tab - a technique that is encouraged to keep people at your site.
I now just have 100 characters after the link so one will get at least some idea of what the feed is.
I also added more text to the top to point people at the download, community and about pages.

Good.

Could you lower that to around 90 ? In Firefox fullscreen at screen resolution 1024 by 768 the line is just wrapping, leaving just something like 'ex...' on the second line. I think 1024 is a pretty common width for screens/browser windows.
I also added more text to the top to point people at the download, community and about pages.
Good. Great work, Brad.

Oh wow! I just checked the web site and it is so much better! I really like the "Get Started | Find Out More | Get Involved" line. My opinion is that this seemingly minor change would make a great first impressions for the newcomers.
I would have had suggested that swapping the "About Squeak" section with the "What is Cool About Squeak" section on the main page. My thought is that "What is Cool About Squeak" section might leave better impressions for the newcomers. I thought that "About Squeak" is a bit wordy, trying to do too much to cover everything on the main page. However, since that "Get Started | Find Out More | Get Involved" line was added, I'm not sure if that swapping section idea is a good idea anymore.
Anyway, keep up the good work!
