Hi,
can you please update the website and add a reference to my dev image
please ?
Thank you very much.
Here are the information you required.
Image Name: Squeak-dev
Creator: Damien Cassou <damien.cassou(a)laposte.net>
Description of Image: Squeak-dev image, is an image specially created
for developers. Updated often, it will provide up-to-date packages and
bug fixes. Two kind of packages are used in the image : Installed
Packages and Prepared Packages. Whereas Installed Packages are packages
already loaded and ready to use, Prepared Packages are not loaded in the
image. However, only one click is needed to install them and a small
documentation is rendered for each. Feel free to use this image and send
me an email if you have any comment.
Image Base: Squeak3.9-final-7067
Image Filename: squeak-dev-*.zip (always use the last version)
Image full URL: http://damien.cassou.free.fr/squeak-dev

Yes, I know. I haven't been able to get back to it. Lukas says that the
problem is Pier and Seaside are not the same versions.
Ken had updated them a while a go and it was working fine. But, it's
broken. Neither of us has changed anything.
So, I don't know what happened.

Yeah, I've snapshotted them. Now, the question is how to get them back.
Is the snapshot basically saving the image? I'll have to look on the box
when I get time.
thanks,
brad
All,
We had a couple of links to images that people provided (with
descriptions, etc.)
Weren't the links at:
http://www.squeak.org/Download/
I don't see them there. Did I post them someplace else? Am I going crazy?
It would be good to update www.squeak.org with this latest license
information. I'll do it on wwwtest.squeak.org if I find time sometime soon.
Michael.

Folks,
According to
http://laptop.media.mit.edu/laptopnews.nsf/2e76a5a80bc36cbf85256cd700545fa5…
, Alan Kay announced a month and a half ago that Steve Jobs has agreed
to relicense Squeak under the Apache License, but the license cited at
htttp://www.squeak.org/SqueakLicense/
is still the old APSL 2.0. Shouldn't this be updated to reflect the
change, as well as the license file that comes along with the release?
(which launches me into a question of why the 3.9 final image still
isn't a default part of the main archives under the download section,
but I digress, and am sure you folks are already aware of this)
Respectfully,
Alex Perez
Hi there,
I'm new around these parts, but have helped administer the gnustep.org
website in the past, and am a systems administrator by trade. I was
wondering if you guys would be willing to set up a simple one-line
Apache HTTP redirect for http://exupery.squeak.org which would point to
http://minnow.cc.gatech.edu/squeak/Exupery ?
The official Exupery URL is quite non-memorable. I'm not sure what
Squeak's policy is about associating with quasi/non-official Squeak
projects, but it should be easy to do from a technical perspective.
Regards,
Alex Perez
Hi Karl,
I am willing to make a Croquet image available that includes my
MockTurtle package. I suspect that it will only be useful for a few
months at most.
Based on an email from Brad Fuller on behalf of the Squeak WebTeam on
Oct. 18, here is the information describing the image:
Image Name: MockTurtle1.0.image
Creator: Dave Faught
Description of Image: This image includes all standard Croquet updates
as of around Oct. 31, 2006 as well as my publicly-contributed
MockTurtle, CCPainter, and VRML packages. It is particularly useful
for anyone that wants to try out the most recent MockTurtle changes
without going through the entire update process from the base 1.0 SDK,
which has gotten a little out of hand. I would NOT recommend it as a
base for further standard updates. There may be a couple of other
little changes here and there.
Image Base: Croquet 1.0 SDK Beta
Image Filename: MockTurtle1.0.image.gz
Image full URL: I would prefer that the WebTeam host this file, in
fact I don't really have any easy way to make it available for
downloading. I would prefer to upload it to the ftp site myself, if
possible.

The Morphic Counter Example in your Swiki is un-runnable as written. This is especially frustrating for beginners!
I would correct it, except I have no password, and there seems to be no way to register to get one.

Ah, OK. My mistake then. Thanks anyway. Brad and I will crunch on
this some more then and see what we can figure out.
