Hello, I think there's a typo at the following URL on the Squeak website: http://www.squeak.org/Features/Internet/ The last layer 7 protocol mentioned is "NTTP (network news)". It must actually be NNTP: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Network_News_Transfer_Protocol Vincent Cuirassier

Featuring the Announcements list more prominently

Use of the Announcements list has still not become the standard that I had hoped. The list has 127 subscribers which seems pretty good but entire months go by without a single submission although ANN messages are sent to squeak-dev. I'd like to request that an entry from the Announcements mailing list be added to the top of the Mailing list section of the Community page, something like: Announcements is the first list everyone interested in Squeak should subscribe to, even if you subscribe to not other list. This list has a very low traffic level but will keep you up to date on events and new releases. Thanks, Ken

Mailing Lists findability...

Hello, I am writing this as a follow to discussion on freenode #squeak about finding contact addresses on squeak.org. I tend to get lost looking for email addresses and lists, it would be nice having a the links in the Nav bar or home page instead of buried under community and team sections of the squeak.org. There is a releases category in the production site that is not in the test site. website updates for CD/DVD needed

Hi, I have updated the Squeak DVD and CD. Now the pages on squeak.org need to be updated. 1) http://squeak.org/Download/SqueakCD/ First the text of the side should have "3.9" instead of "3.8" Then inside the link code four buying, the same change needs to be made. "Squeak CD 3.9". The rest (e.g. order number and price) stays the same. 2) http://squeak.org/Download/SqueakDVD/ Same changes (3.9 instead of 3.8 in both the text and links). Later we should update the description a bit... the DVD has now such nice things as Plopp3d and Sophie which should be mentioned. But that's a next step. The page http://squeak.org/Features/TheSqueakVM/ has a broken link. The link http://users.ipa.net%20/~dwighth/smalltalk/bluebook/ bluebook_chapter27.html should not have a space after .net. Thanks, Alan Mock
