The Morphic Counter Example in your Swiki is un-runnable as written. This is especially frustrating for beginners! Squeakfoundation.org Image issue

There were so many emails with different recipients that I'd thought I should send another msg out to y'all to summarize the problem. We originally wanted to move the old squeakfoundation image to box2 under a new domain name: www.squeakfoundation.org. The current SqF content has been copied over to it and it's ready to go and be updated by the SqF team. The Pier image is on box2 and in /home/website/SqueakFoundation/images/SqF-Pier-1.5.image. The service is running on port 7780 (see /home/website/SqueakFoundation/serviceSqF/run). You can see it running at: http://www.squeak.org:7780/seaside/SqF However, we have a problem. The problem is that the URLs generated don't look correct. I set the "Server Hostname" and "Server Port" and that seemed to make a difference a bit. But, Ken believes the resulting URLs are wrong. Also, I did this at the same time Ken did something else on the apache side. So, I reset these so we could do it right. Ken mentioned that this problem has been identified and fixed before. Jason: you may be the person to save us! Can you help us out? brad

SqueakFoundation Pier Image

(sorry, forgot to copy webteam): I've copied up the latest proposal for the SqueakFoundation image at: SqueakFoundation/images/SqF-Pier-1.5.image This works fine. However, when I try to connect to it via RFB, it connects (asks for a password) but I get no graphics back - i.e. I don't see the image. But, it seems like it's connected. Can someone else try? I'm not going to be around for the rest of the afternoon (Pacific time.) but will be here tonight. We also need to make a daemontools service to get it running and stay running. Once we have these two items done, I think they can get to work on it to clean it up. I don't know when we want to point www.squeakfoundation.org at it. But, since the content is pretty much the same as the current one, once the two above tasks are done, I see no reason why not to do it then. Comments? brad

Damien, Do you want to have a place on squeak.org that points to your dev image? If so, just provide the info (msg I sent out yesterday) and I'll add it to the page on squeak.org.
