If by 'disguuuuusting' you are referring to the archive for 1/2012 I believe I've found the cause for that and am regenerating the archive now; as a result mailman is stopped for the moment. Mailman assume any line that starts with 'From ' is the start of a new message. Anything that generates a .mbox file is supposed to prefix any line that starts with 'From ' that is not the very first line of a message with '>', but at some point quite a few messages ended up in the archive without that done. Mailman includes a utility to fix this and I've done that and the archive is regenerating now, hopefully in better shape.

We're back. And it looks disguuuuusting. C'est la vie.
Thanks, Ken.

OK, I think we are back to life again with squeak-dev. It seems the problem was with a couple of messages sent recently by NISHIHARA Satoshi goonsh@gmail.com that included an attachment which specified an encoding of iso-2022-jp which the digest part of mailman totally choked on and refused to continue. I deleted those messages from the file that was collecting the messages for the digest and I believe my test message after that went through.
