Passing to who? If you mean me, please ask for volunteers on squeak-dev. I myself am only the box-admins team leader en lieu of a replacement (a process that has been going on for more than a year now).
Thanks,
Ken

Greetings,
This is just to let you know I plan to stop moderating the squeak-dev mailing list on July 10, 3 weeks from today.
Thanks to Ken Causey, who has often done the job when I could not.
Cheers, Steve

A responsibility like this may be my karma, if the good people of this community would consider entrusting me with such a role.
Of course I will understand if I will not be allowed to fill this role. I want to do it. It would be powerfully healing for me.
Recently I sent a message that I shouldn't have sent. I'm looking for ways to repay this community, these people who have been so very kind to me, for my own ill advised behavior.
I'd like to volunteer.

Looks like I'm passing it to Casey. Ken, I didn't have you in mind. Casey, unless someone else on this list objects, you seem like a good choice to me. I don't know what message you wish you hadn't sent so I doubt it's as large in the thoughts of others as it is in yours. What can I do for you besides providing the password? Via some channel other than this mailing list, of course. :)

I think the Squeak Board should be consulted. I'll function as interim until this has occurred.

Distributing responsibilities in a team such as box-admins is handled by the team itself (in any way the team leader sees fit). No need for SOB approval.
That said, thanks for volunteering! And thank you Steven for doing that chore for so long!

While I do know which message Casey means and yes - it does make me hesitant about your (Casey) judgement about what is proper and what is not for the list - I still give you the benefit of the doubt so to speak. We all make mistakes.
So fine by me. Although I would like Ken to agree too.

These are valid concerns. Having them is responsible, Göran. I don't think I should take this role without some consensus, in spite of my own desire to do it.

This is very kind of you.

Ken's blessing would give me a good deal of confidence, but the Board should make the decision. I'm offering to do it in the interim, and afterwards if asked.
regards, Göran
Thank you.
Casey

Encrypt it before you send the message. Or, provide instructions to change it very quickly. I prefer the former.
Offer to help ramp me up on what I need to know in order to get the job done well, if you want to go above and beyond the call.

Long ago it came in cleartext via a private email from Cees. If you explain how I should encrypt it so that you'll be able to decrypt it, that's fine too.
Of course, I'm waiting to hear from other stakeholders before sending anything.
I'll be glad to help you ramp up, or at least tell you how I've gone about it. :)
