Trying to make systemTracer write a CogImage

Ok, I'm writing the image header as with the extra words. But my image is kind of not living. It seems the Display is not waking up. When I open my new image with a cog vm, I get an image that does not break, but comes up with a window in black. I sent a SIGUSR1 to the vm Process and get the following. SSL plugin for linux

hi, i built ssl plugin i didn't tested but at least it find it and loads and i were able to run 1st primitive: primitiveSSLCreate "Primitive. Creates and returns a new SSL handle in the VM plugin" <primitive: 'primitiveCreate' module: 'SqueakSSL'> ^ self primitiveFailed i updated the configuration & added missing source files in this commit: https://gitorious.org/cogvm/blessed/commit/59ef1cb1c70a93ed3c974b5d6beea0e4… to build SSL plugin you must have ssl, and ssl-dev libs installed: sudo apt-get install openssl sudo apt-get install libssl-dev You can download prebuilt plugin from here: http://code.google.com/p/cog/downloads/detail?name=libSqueakSSL.so.gz&can=2… (it is with debug info, since i used debug config to build it) To build it, you shoud use >= CMakeVMMaker-IgorStasenko.157 and CogUnixConfig new addExternalPlugins: #( ... yours ... The temporary directory problem is gone now thanks! I was able to checkout the image directory fine and got quite a ways with the platforms directory but then it errored out with ... A platforms/Cross/vm/sqSCCSVersion.h A platforms/Cross/vm/sqExternalSemaphores.c U platforms Fetching external item into 'platforms/Cross/http:/squeakvm.org/svn/squeak/trunk/platforms/Cross/plugins' svn: Unrecognized URL scheme 'plugins' This is on the community server which is definitely aging so $ svn --version svn, version 1.1.4 (r13838) compiled May 13 2005, 06:29:47 Is the age of the client the problem perhaps? [ANN] ImageWriter, the SystemTracer's son

First public push of the first step of the hazelnut GSoC project :) *In a nutshell* For those who didn't know SystemTracer (the father): It is a tool that traces a graph of objects and writes an image from it. ImageWriter is a refactored, renamed and repackaged version of SystemTracer2 with the following changes: - The image format can be provided as a parameter. - You have to provide an SmalltalkImage object as root to write the image (so in the future we can write bootstrap with this). - The object format was reified in objects. So the code is easier to understand + change, and people can learn how are our objects in memory easily :D. Right now, only 32 bit image format is supported. *Structure* - ImageWriter-Core has the image formats and the image writer in itself - ImageWriter-ObjectFormats contains objects that represent the memory layout of the objects and it's headers. - ImageWriter-Tests has some tests. *Tests done* - Only tested in Pharo-1.4 - There are specific tests written for the size and headers of the objects - Also, I've written a Pharo-1.4 image and then run the tests in the copied image. Only one failure compared to the original :) *Known Bugs :)* - WeakRegistryTest>>#testFinalizationWithOnFork is failing, and when I run it manually it works :/. In the image I use to write, it does not happen, only in the clone. - When opening the new image, the window is too small. It is not respecting the original image size.
