Can someone add AX_LIBZ([LIBS="$LIBS -z"], []) to platforms/unix/conf/ configure.ac and generate a new configure script? (and feel free to fill in the second parameter to print a warning; see https://www.gnu.org/software/autoconf-archive/ax_check_zlib.html). I only have old versions of manjaro running on raspberry pi and can't even update them to get automake. Can whoever knows how to generate a new configure script correctly write some kind of README (or extend the platforms/unix/conf/README) with instructions on how to set up a linux/unix box on which we can run automake? _,,,^..^,,,_ best, Eliot

New compression/decompression of squeak images

Hi, I love the idea of automagically decompressing images. This is cool. On x86-64 linux and ARM64 linux it looks like this patch is needed. It seems a bit unoptimal to patch the necessary mvm files, but, that is one choice. cheers bruce
