Certainly seems to. Scratch uses sockets to talk to other services and devices, Monticello works, so that should more or less cover it. I’m assuming that you are using either Raspbian or RISC OS - can’t speak for anything else.

if i understood good your advice is to load Scratch in Raspbian Squeak or use Scratch? in Raspbian Squeak seems to me socket doesn't work.

Socket on Raspbian Squeak definitely works, even independently from Scratch. As Tim said, Monticello works, and it wouldn't without working sockets.

Yeah, they certainly seem to work ok - it’s just linux after all and the socket plugin is the same code as any other unixy machine. It’s conceivable that the socket libraries have bugs particular to Debian/ARM but I haven’t spotted any yet.
