WAActionCallback not enabled for AJAX

Hi! I am currently trying to use JQuery Mobile (Alpha) with Seaside 3.0. The problem is that this lib catches all anchor clicks and performs ajax calls to get a new page, which is a fully render xhmtl page. The WAActionCallback doesn't currently allow such ajax callbacks. They are blocked with this method: isEnabledFor: aRequestContext " ^true" ^aRequestContext request isXmlHttpRequest not What would be a good solution to enable such callbacks also for AJAX calls. Peeking Unconsumed Path

Hi I have a case where a filter needs to peek at the whole unconsumed path to decide whether it should handle the request or pass it on. How you you call such a method? #peekUpToEnd? #peekAll? Cheers Philippe

Seaside-REST now with MIME type support and documentation

Hi I got around to implement MIME type support (matching based on Content-Type and Accept) in Seaside-REST. I also managed to write some example driven documentation [1]. So if you always wanted to try it out but didn't know how to get started, there you go. P.S. Hi First, thanks to Tobias for testing, debugging, fixing and sharing this stuff. Thanks to him I could finally issue 41. I'm not happy that we have to configure the server, port and credentials on the application but I really don't see a better way to do it. It's the only thing we have that is configurable. If anybody has a better idea I'd be happy to hear it. Cheers Philippe

expand Grease to support portability between Pharo versions?

Julian, Have you considered that Grease could be used to ease porting applications between Pharo versions? As Pharo moves forward older versions of Pharo will have the same portability issues that exist between different dialects of Smalltalk... The portability issues that I've seen are not fundamental issues, but peripheral issues like Preferences and the required use of 'Smalltalk os' and 'Smalltalk globals' as the object behind the Smalltalk global has changed it's class... In my mind the reason for making the changes are certainly good ones, but from a backward compatibility perspective they create "silly portability" problems like we've just had that keep a perfectly good project from running on older versions of Pharo, just like they cause portability headaches for folks porting that code to another dialect (I have yet to add #globals and #os to my Smalltalk poxy class:). If these changes were included in Grease it would mean that folks with a portability problem, could load Grease and address the handful of obvious known problems ... Just a thought... Dale

VM problem

My Seaside app has become unresponsive and I see it's because the Squeak VM is using almost all the CPU time for something. I reniced the process to 15 just so I could get other things to respond on the same machine but I don't know what I can do with Squeak itself. It's too busy to listen to the mouse so I can't bring up a process browser or anything. What does one do in a situation like this? note on using hash of an object's class....

I've just noticed that in GRSmallDictionary>>hash, the hash of the class is used for calculating the object's hash and I just wanted to point out that that is not portable (at least relative to GemStone). In GemStone there is the notion of class histories, which means that there are multiple versions of a class which means that the hash of a class cannot be counted on to be constant for a given class, which means that it shouldn't be used in hashes... multipart/related any experience?

At the moment I'm creating a rest interface to my application. Since now we are using multipart/form-data but for creating single resource I have the feeling it is less appropriate. Searching the web there is less to find about the application of multipart/related messages. And the request parsing I can find around seaside doesn't reflect this mime-type either. I didn't even find tools that are capable of sending requests with this mime-type. So has anyone of you experience in using/processing this? thanks, Norbert
