May I suggest the following patch (also attached - may be also needed to apply to the "squeak" script in the top of the coglinux tarball)

which helps run Cog on a 64 bit host with 32 bit libraries installed in /lib32 and /usr/lib32. Without this line added the script aborts (cannot infer LD_LIBRRAY_PATH)
