CONFERENCE INFORMATION: Training, Education & Simulation International (TESI) 2005 is a unique new Technical Conference and Exhibition, offering a novel approach to Training, Education and Simulation Technology. It actively unites end-users, investors and developers of training, education and simulation technology from a multitude of industry/service backgrounds. The TESI 2005 Technical Programme Committee (TPC) will consider and select submissions describing new or innovative technologies and work in the areas of:
- Learning and Training Practices
- Synthetic and Collaborative Environments
- Simulation Practices and Technologies
- Human Interfaces
Topical areas for technology-based papers include but are not limited to: Modeling & Simulation; Visualization; Human-Computer Interaction; Geographic Information Systems; Mobile Computing; Digital Storytelling; Ambient Intelligence; E-Learning; Training and Edutainment; Agent Technologies. Application-based papers may be related but are not limited to the following application areas: Training & Maintenance; Disaster & Emergency; Design to Production; Life-long Learning; Medical Diagnosis & Treatment Planning; E-Commerce; Tourism. Papers on Policy Making, Standards and Methodologies are also requested. As an example, these could concern: Situational Awareness and Characterization or other. PAPER SUBMISSION: Abstracts of 150 words should be sent to: Jean Bourne, Conference Co-ordinator, TESI 2005, Highbury Business, Media House, Swanley, Kent BR8 8HU, UK Tel: +44 (0)1322 611209 Fax: +44 (0)1322 616350 email: jean.bourne@nexusmedia.com The author's name, affiliation, full contact address, telephone, fax and email details should be given along with an indication of which topic best fits the submission. Authors will be informed of the decision of the Technical Programme Committee by September 2004. A final paper will be required by 15 December 2004 for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings. This paper, prepared to standard A4 is to be submitted on disc with accompanying hard copies and must not exceed 10 pages of A4 including diagrams and figures. Detailed instructions will be sent to all accepted authors.
