These are followed by 'Talkussions', discussion sessions/workshops about the talks held that day, or on any other topic of interest. With the Talkussions we want to bring the people giving the talk and the people that crave for more detailed information closer together, and foster ad-hoc workshops where the participants define the content. Hence this year's programme promises to be a healthy mix of talks and workshops. We are always soliciting talks about your use of Smalltalk. Prospective speakers must clearly explain the format they would like to use (tutorial, experience report, workshop or demo). Each proposal must include a valid e-mail address and an abstract of around 200 words. All proposals have to be sent to Roel Wuyts (wuyts(a)iam.unibe.ch) AND Stephane Ducasse (ducasse(a)iam.unibe.ch), in plain ASCII pasted in the body of the e-mail (NOT attached). You can have meta-objects specific to a particular object or meta-objects shared among various objects (even instances from different classes). A simple framework for meta-object composition is also available. It allows chaining various meta-objects (As described chain of responsibility design pattern). Such meta-objects cooperate in order to control base-level objects. Two examples of meta-objects use are provided. They show how reflection can be used to separate concerns, and how reflection can be used to support AOP. They also show that the aspects built using meta-objects (and mixin metaclasses) are generic and hence reusable. La liste squeak-fr est maintenant archivée par gmane (http://www.gmane.org/) Voir sur : http://news.gmane.org/thread.php?group=gmane.comp.lang.smalltalk.squeak.fre… Gmane est un service qui permet de lire les archives de mailing-liste au moyen d'une interface de type news (i.e sans s'abonner à la liste), ce qui peut s'avérer parfois plus pratique. Les archives de squeak-dev sont aussi accessible depuis un moment par ce moyen. Comment faire (grand débutant)

Salut à vous amis de squeak J'ai téléchargé le cd de squeak sur lequel j'ai eu la bonne surprise de constater qu'il existait un groupe francophone autour de ce programme auquel je me suis donc inscrit pour en savoir plus sur cette curiosité logicielle qui semble avoir un énorme potentiel. D'où mon message. J'ai donc sur le cd les archives de ce groupe mais ... comment je fais pour les lire sans avoir tous les caractères accentués transformés et pour pouvoir récupérer les pièces jointes ? J'ai essayé avec squeak (of course) mais il ne me prend que les 5000 premiers caractères et ça ne règle pas le problème, pas plus qu'avec wordpad. Mais je ne connais pas encore toutes les ficelles de cet ensemble... loin s'en faut. Euh, je viens juste de découvrir squeak, et par la même occasion smalltalk, et pour quelqu'un qui habituellement utilise visual basic, c'est carrément une autre planète, une très belle planète à découvrir:-) Nom du fichier: squeak-fr.mbox Merci par avance Axone Man
