(moving to dev list) Hi Karl, does this also happen with the latest Windows VM? http://squeakvm.org/win32/ We are quite a few versions behind (3.11.4). Maybe we just need to upgrade the VM ... I'll also cc Andreas, maybe he has a clue. Maybe you could also test if this happens with a current Squeak 4.3 image. bug fix release

Dear developers, there has been talk about a bug fix release shortly after the release of Etoys 5. Since the summer is coming and with it the time for vacation, it would be great if we could have a new build of Etoys before the end of June. Then we could test it and have it out before the summer. Scott, when you uploaded a fix, please "resolve" the issue, set its version to the next appropriate release (currently, 5.0.1 for bug fixes and 5.1 for new features), and assign it to yourself (so you get credited properly). By tracking the resolved-but-not-closed tickets we can easily see which patches still need committing. After committing to the main repository, we close the ticket. News from the Sugar dev meeting: Peter Robinson packaged Etoys 5 for Fedora 17. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/etoys-5.0.2406-1.fc17 Direct RPM link: http://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/packages/etoys/5.0.2406/1.fc17/noarch/eto… The RPM appears to work fine in older Fedora releases, too (tested in OLPC's Fedora 14). - Bert -

: Etoys 5.0 question

In the context of a previous project, we had added support for Vernier LabPro devices to Etoys. I am in the process of porting that code to Etoys 5.0. While I am familiar with Etoys, I am new to Smalltalk, so please pardon my ignorance. > I was able to add FFI support to my copy of the Etoys 5.0 image. Hi, I commited again because I messed up when moving the package from the inbox without taking into account Bert's commit: Etoys-bf.138. Now updating seems to load everything fine.
